All this has kept am quite busy.Aa president of International Society for Comparative Study ofCivilisations I have to preside at the Second International Congressof this Society next September but I hope that in some way I can avoidthis trip. I asked the society to elect another president instead ofmyself and recomoended Toynbee ae the best candidate for that presidency.The inionrdties of an advanced age forced me to cancel most of my lecturesduring this academic year but this does not hinder much my "paper-wasting"activities.
