Reason being the journal is already thought of as being slanted towards the "Harvard group"; a letter to Peter M. Blau,editor of the American Journal of Sociology from Sorokin regarding his book and that had Sorokin read it before, he would have devoted a number of pages to its analysis, criticism and evaluation as he did in regards to Homan's works; article from Sorokin for the News and Notes section of the journal
